The second New Forms festival took place from Aug. 1-4, 2002, in Vancouver, BC. olo J. Milkman collaborated with Triina Linde to morph the Video In studios into a more creatively engaging space. Performers included ssiess (audio), tobias van Veen (audio), Camille Baker (video), Owen J. Milburn (video), Mitchell Akiyama (audio), Sue Costable (audio / visual), Joshua Kit Clayton (audio / visual), and Ben Nevile (audio).

A motif of the festival was metamorphosis, so olo J. Milkman created a series of slides which morphed throughout the evening. Approximately every 10 minutes the slides changed, deconstructing line section by line section until only a single line remained. Then one side of the image was flipped 180 degrees, and the left-to-right order of the slides was swapped. From there the lines were built back up to create a new image. The sequence can be viewed here.

olo J. Milkman also created new lamps for the festival, reflecting the theme of metamorphosis. Four lamps were drawn in a bento box style, allowing them to recombine with one and other to form new patterns.
